“May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness
and freedom for all.”
Meerabai (Claire Whittleston) has a commitment to healing through Yoga and Kirtan – opening hearts, creating peace of mind and uplifting spirits. Meerabai is a freelance adult and children/teen’s yoga teacher and Kirtan artist/leader. Services are offered to studios, schools, recreation and fitness centers, health and medical facilities in Oakland Twp / Rochester Hills, and surrounding areas. Private customized sessions to match individual needs are always available.
Yoga – Focusing on Hatha-Vinyasa Slow Flow, Meerabai incorporates a creative sequence of asana, mixed with classic Hatha postures and structure, benefitting overall emotional and physical wellbeing. Movement with breath helps to relieve anxiety, depression and stress as well as helping to gain focus, strength, tone, flexibility and balance. Classes include asana (postures), pranayama (breath work) and meditation (coming to stillness), including mantra with music or the use of chanting/singing to the sacred sounds of harmonium to bring about healing to the whole body, mind and spirit. The infusion of aromatherapy essential oils taking you to a higher level of complete bliss is often incorporated to enhance relaxation and clarity of mind. Benefits of asana, pranayama and meditation techniques go beyond the yoga mat, once they begin to flow, they will influence the rest of your life.

Meerabai is an R&B Kirtan artist/leader providing a powerful yet relaxing way to connect to your true inner self. With Meerabai’s R&B Kirtan style incorporating soulful funky vibes, you won’t be able to help but open your heart, still your mind, and let your spirits fly high.
